Dreamweaver MX: Site Cloaking

• Use site cloaking to prevent certain files and folders from being uploaded or downloaded
• Files and folders can be cloaked to exclude them from the Synchronize, Check In/Out, search and replace, reports, link checking and library and template updating features
• Cloaked files and folders do not appear in the Asset panel
• Cloaking is not recognized by other FTP programs

1. Choose Site…Cloaking…Settings from the Site menu in the Site window

2. Enable or disable cloaking by selecting or deselecting the Enable Cloaking checkbox

3. Select the Cloak Files Ending With checkbox and enter the specific file types to be cloaked in the text box. Separate multiple file types with one space; do not use a comma or semicolon.

4. Click OK

5. The selected file or folder in the Site window should now appear with a diagonal red line. The diagonal red line indicates that the file has been cloaked.
